East Greenbush fire causes mass power outage

About 13,000 customers in East Greenbush are without power as a result of a fire at the Forrest Road National Grid neighbourhood, according to Rensselaer County.

According to Rensselaer County, firefighters are putting out the fire at the neighbourhood. The county advises vehicles to use caution since several traffic signals are out due to the fire.

There have been no reports of any injuries related to the explosion at the community, according to East Greenbush Police.

When the electricity will return is uncertain. The National Grid outage map's earliest update indicated 8:00 p.m.

The restoration window has been moved back to most people from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. as of 8:00 p.m. As we discover more, we'll keep monitoring and making updates.
